Голям брой български "учени" с насмешка са коментирали твърденията на Раковски, че Наполеон има българска кръв във вените си. Скрити зад "научните" си доводи, те изваждаха на показ най-вече "наивното" според тях тълкуване на името, което прави Великана на българското Възраждане - "На поле е он".
